Game: Mario Kart 8 Deluxe

Platform: Nintendo Switch

Format: There will be 16 races in total per group of 12 players. At the end of the races, all points will be counted together. 

If there are more than 12 players, the group will be split in two, where they will play for 12 races.  The two top 4 of the 2 groups will then have to play 8 more races. 

Check-in: Check-in opens up 1 hour before the start of the tournament. Don't forget to check in! Teams that are not checked in will not be able to participate. For example, if the tournament is set to start at 19:00, teams will be able to check in between 18:00 and 18:59.

Game Characters: You can choose whichever character you like.

Vehicle: You can choose whichever vehicle you like.

Level: 150cc

Tournament Series:

This tournament is part of the Tournament Series.
Points for Participation: 5 points per player
Points for Final Placement per Player:

#1 – 100 Tournament Series points
#2 - 80 Tournament Series points
#3 - 60 Tournament Series points
#4 - 40 Tournament Series points

(Points are only given to players who have correctly filled in the "Esports Organization" field on their profile.)

General Rules

Admin:

The admin has the final say, and their decision is non-debatable. Contact the admin on Discord. All communication is confidential.

Screenshots:

If there is a dispute over the score, only a screenshot with a timestamp will be accepted as valid proof.

Disconnect:

If a player disconnects during a game and is not able to return, they will lose by forfeit. No exceptions. If the opponent disconnects, don't leave the game until you have confirmation from an admin that you are the winner. Take a screenshot.

Scores:

Scores need to be filled in on the tournament page after the game. This can be done by going to the "Results" tab. If a team doesn't fill in their match result, the bracket will not be updated.

Cheating:

Cheats are not allowed. If a player is caught cheating, they will be banned from all BSL tournaments for a period of 2 years.

Hosting:

The admin will appoint a person who will host the match.
