How to make a custom lobby

The person on the top side of the bracket will make the lobby

To do this, follow the underneath instructions:

 

When in the main screen of the game click on find a user → Fill in username of opponent (can be found in the sheet) → Select format [Gen 9] Random Battle → Challenge opponent

 

Format

We will be using the [Gen 9] Random Battle ruleset during the tournament.

Timer will need to be enabled at the start of the match.

 

The bracket will depend on the amount of signups as explained below:

16 or less participants: Double elimination (Bo3, Top 4 Bo5)

17 or more participants: Double elimination (Bo3, Grand Finals Bo5)

GENERAL RULES

Discord:
Be present on the Discord to contact admins/opponents.

Scores:
In every round, players play at least 2 songs and maximum 3. At the end of a song they send a screenshot of their score in the discord channel. The player with the highest score wins the round, and with 2 round wins the player moves on to the next round, the other player drops down to the losers bracket.

Admin:
Admins have the final say and those discussions are not up for debate. Make sure to use the code of your match (in the bracket) in all communication.

Screenshots:
If there is a dispute over the score, only a screenshot with a timestamp will be accepted as valid proof.

Cheating:
As per normal competitive ruling, use of external programs to improve one’s gameplay, such as (but not limited to) bots, aim locks etc. is prohibited and will result in a 2 year RIV4L-ban.
